Confederation of small and medium business organizations of Spain is a professional organization of confederative and intersectoral nature, of national scope, for the protection, representation and promotion of the interests of small and medium enterprises and individual entrepreneurs. CEPYME is recognized as the most representative business organization in the state.
Among his functions are attention to information needs, consultations, technical assistance, research and improvement of organizations, companies and affiliated entrepreneurs, study and dissemination of how many issues can affect the empowerment of small and medium-sized enterprises and individual entrepreneurs, within the functions and competencies specified in the seventh article of the Constitution of Spain.
CEPYME was established on September 22, 1977 by twelve territorial organizations of provincial scale. CEPYME currently consists of 57 provincial and regional territorial organizations and 49 national sector organizations, which in turn bring together more than three thousand organizations at the grassroots level, representing almost ninety-nine per cent of the association of existing SMEs.
CEPYME takes the voice of small and medium-sized enterprises and entrepreneurs engaged in self-employment in the main Spanish institutions and the European Union.
